Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced a new 27-inch PlayStation Gaming Monitor — a sleek display designed to bring the PS5 experience to players’ desks. Following the growing trend of gamers enjoying PS5 titles beyond the living room, this monitor gives players more flexibility to play in personal spaces like bedrooms, offices, or dorm setups.

What Is PlayStation Offering Unique To Its Monitor?

The PlayStation 27” Gaming Monitor features a Quad HD (2560×1440) IPS display, delivering crisp, vibrant visuals with HDR support and Auto HDR Tone Mapping that automatically optimizes picture quality when connected to PS5 or PS5 Pro. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rate on PS5 and an impressive 240Hz on compatible PC and Mac systems, ensuring smooth and responsive gameplay.

A standout feature is the built-in DualSense Charging Hook, allowing players to charge their DualSense or DualSense Edge controllers directly on the monitor — a convenient touch for desktop setups.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB Type-A ports, and one USB Type-C port, making it versatile for multi-device gaming. It also includes built-in stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio output, and VESA mounting support for flexible desk or wall setups.

Sony notes that the new monitor pairs well with the recently announced Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, which provide high-quality desktop audio and crystal-clear voice chat. Together, they create a complete desktop experience tailored for PS5 gaming.

The PlayStation 27” Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook is set to launch in 2026 in the U.S. and Japan, with more details on pricing and availability coming soon.
