LAS VEGAS – LG Electronics has officially kicked off its LG CES 2026 showcase, redefining the boundaries of the smart home and future mobility under its new theme, “Innovation in Tune with You.”
In a crowded presentation that leaned heavily on what the company calls “Affectionate Intelligence,” LG unveiled a slate of futuristic hardware, including the resurrection of a fan-favorite TV design, a laundry-folding robot that brings us one step closer to the Jetsons, and a car dashboard that disappears when you don’t need it.
Here is a breakdown of the biggest announcements from LG’s “World Premiere” at CES 2026.
The Wallpaper TV Returns: Wireless and Thinner Than Ever
Perhaps the most visually striking announcement was the return of the “Wallpaper” OLED. The new LG OLED evo W6 revives the ultra-thin, flush-to-wall aesthetic that captivated the tech world nearly a decade ago, but with a thoroughly modern twist.
The W6 is just 9mm thick and is now a “True Wireless” display. Using LG’s Zero Connect technology, the TV receives 4K 144Hz video and audio wirelessly from a separate Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 30 feet away. This leaves the screen itself completely free of cables, save for a discreet power cord. LG claims the new panel features “Hyper Radiant Color” technology, delivering brightness levels up to 3.9 times higher than conventional OLEDs.
Display Wars: Micro RGB and Brighter OLEDs
While the W6 stole the design spotlight, LG’s core TV lineup received significant performance bumps:
- Micro RGB evo: Taking direct aim at competitors, LG debuted its first flagship Micro RGB TV lineup. Available in massive 75-, 86-, and 100-inch sizes, these screens use microscopic RGB LEDs to deliver explosive brightness and color volume without the risk of burn-in, making them a premium alternative to OLED for bright living rooms.
- OLED evo G6 & C6: The flagship G6 model now features the “Primary RGB Tandem 2.0” panel for even higher luminance and 120Hz support for cloud gaming. Meanwhile, the popular C-series (C6) finally inherits the brightness-boosting tech previously reserved for the more expensive G-series, making high-end picture quality more accessible.
- LG Gallery TV: Clearly targeting the lifestyle art market dominated by Samsung’s The Frame, this new matte-finish MiniLED TV is designed to look like a canvas. It pairs with a new “Gallery+” subscription service that streams over 5,000 works of art and uses AI to generate custom visuals based on the room’s mood.
The “Zero Labor Home” Robot: Meet CLOiD
Moving beyond static appliances, LG introduced CLOiD, an AI-powered autonomous home robot that promises to make the “Zero Labor Home” a reality.
Unlike previous rolling assistants that were little more than tablets on wheels, CLOiD features two articulated arms with five-fingered hands. In a live demo, the robot was shown identifying laundry, folding a shirt (albeit slowly), and even fetching a bottle of water. Powered by a new AI “brain” that learns user habits over time, CLOiD can verbally communicate with “empathy,” detecting if a user sounds tired or stressed and adjusting its tone—and lighting—accordingly.
Mobility: The Dashboard That Rolls Away
LG’s vision for the automotive future, dubbed “Alpha-able,” focuses on transforming the car into a personalized digital cave. The standout innovation here was a Slidable OLED dashboard.
Designed for autonomous vehicles, this 33-inch display remains hidden or partially rolled down during standard driving to minimize distraction. When the car enters self-driving mode (or is parked), the screen unrolls upwards to provide a full cinematic experience for movies or video conferencing. Additionally, LG showcased a transparent OLED windshield concept that overlays real-time traffic data, such as wait times at red lights, directly onto the glass.
Computing & Audio
- LG Gram 2026: The lightweight laptop line gets even lighter with a new “Aerominum” alloy chassis and integrates the latest Copilot+ AI features for on-device creative work.
- Sound Suite: A new H7 soundbar features “Dolby Atmos FlexConnect,” allowing it to pair wirelessly with scattered speakers in a room and automatically calibrate the soundstage to the listener’s position.
LG’s CES 2026 booth is open at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
